The Ice Bath

Let's dive further into the East-West Cup Matches as the event returns this fall to Maridoe. The event is truly unique in the world of mid-amateur golf. As showcased above, we've dedicated a section of our newsletter to track the rankings and follow the qualification process for this year's event.

Conceived by Scott Harvey and other influential figures in the mid-amateur golf community, the event aims to unite the top mid-amateurs in a Ryder Cup-style competition.

Half of the team selections are determined by rankings, while the other half consists of captain's picks. The country is divided into east and west by the Mississippi River. Each team comprises 12 amateurs, with a requirement that at least 10 be aged 25 or above. Additionally, 6 senior players are paired with them, bringing the total to 18 players on each side.

Maridoe will again present a stern challenge to the players and has become a premier facility for high-level championship golf. The perfect venue to host these matches.

Stay tuned for further updates on the matches as they approach. Undoubtedly, this event stands as one of the premier occasions in mid-amateur golf.

Cheers
